What do travel enthusiasts and stamp collectors have in common?
Perhaps not much in the past, but that may be changing with the launch of the special stamp collection issued in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026).
The VM2026 collection, featuring the campaign’s adorable sun bear mascots Wira and Manja, also showcases some of the most recognisable landmarks and cultural icons from all 14 states across Malaysia.
Among the highlights are Gua Kelam in Perlis, Langkawi Island in Kedah, Penang Hill in Penang, the Wau Bulan of Kelantan, Terengganu State Museum, Cameron Highlands in Pahang, the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan in Perak, Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad and the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Melawati in Selangor, the Old Palace of Seri Menanti in Negeri Sembilan, A’Famosa in Melaka, Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque in Johor, the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly and Rhinoceros Hornbill in Sarawak, as well as Sabah’s Sigah and the iconic Proboscis Monkey.

Priced at RM62.60, the special edition package comprises two sets of stamps featuring four designs each, valued at RM0.50 and RM1.30 respectively. The collection also includes a miniature sheet, a First Day Cover with stamps, a First Day Cover with miniature sheet, two postcards and an official commemorative folder, making it a complete keepsake for collectors and tourism enthusiasts alike.
In addition, two specially designed postcards are available for RM2.50 each and can be purchased alongside other VM2026 stamps and philatelic products from today onwards.
Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Chiew Choon Man said the special collection serves as a platform to showcase the unique identities and cultural richness of Malaysia’s states to both locals and international audiences.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Chiew said stamps may be small in size, but they are capable of carrying powerful messages about a country’s identity, heritage and uniqueness to the world.
According to him, the VM2026 commemorative stamps carry significant sentimental value and represent far more than just a philatelic item.
He said the campaign’s logo, mascots and theme song embody Malaysia’s diverse tourism offerings and unique experiences, while the long-running “Malaysia, Truly Asia” slogan continues to define the nation’s tourism identity.
“As a preferred tourist destination, this campaign allows us to introduce Malaysia’s culture, heritage, natural attractions and the hospitality of Malaysians to the world,” he said during the launch, held at Pejabat Pos Besar Lama, Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad, in Kuala Lumpur, today.
Also present were Director General of Tourism Malaysia Mohamad Amirul Rizal Abdul Rahim and Pos Malaysia Berhad Group Chief Marketing Officer Fiona Liao.
Chiew added that Visit Malaysia 2026 is not solely aimed at attracting more tourists but also serves as a platform to spur economic growth, create jobs and benefit communities nationwide.
“The way we treat visitors, maintain cleanliness, preserve our cultural heritage and promote local tourism products will shape the experiences of every tourist who comes to Malaysia,” he said.
He also expressed appreciation to Pos Malaysia for continuing to preserve postal services as part of the country’s heritage.
The VM2026 stamp collection is available at 90 Philatelic Bureaus nationwide, including 13 General Post Offices and selected post offices. Collectors can also purchase the items through Pos Malaysia’s online store at www.pos.com.my/shop, while stocks last.
