Independent animal rescuer Shima Aris recently shared a heartbreaking post about a dead dog and cat found in an abandoned vet clinic in an apartment at Damansara Damai, Selangor.
The dog was found dead in a cage while the cat was dead in a carrier. Shima Aris said the clinic’s door was wide open and the environment was filthy. Fortunately, they managed to rescue another cat.
Nevertheless, it still doesn’t erase the horror the animals went through in that dirty and intolerable environment.
Two known vets who were present at the crime scene confirmed both animals had been dead for 7 to 10 days.
Shima Aris urged her followers to help lodge a report with the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) in pursuit of justice.
She drafted a report template so anyone who would like to lodge a report can copy and paste the details.
Many people were enraged and upset after looking through the pictures and saw what the helpless animals went through.
A user wondered why no one heard the trapped and abandoned animals in the clinic and why nobody called for help.
In another post, Shima Aris shared that the security guards at the apartment did not carry out their duties and failed to make their rounds.
She was dissatisfied with the treatment from the guards when she arrived at the apartment, adding that she could smell the foul decaying odour when she neared the abandoned unit that was the vet clinic.
In an update, Shima Aris shared that the vet has lodged a police report to protect herself.
